The Desk of the sample workshop, one morning, with fictitious data. What Studio does, by trade
For workshops
- One file per watch, from reception to handover
- The quote the client signs online
- A tracking link: the client sees where their watch stands
- The parts to order
- The drop-off and return receipts, signed on the counter screen
For dealers
- Stock, trade-ins and consignments, with their documents
- A showcase page for each watch
- The history that follows the watch to the buyer
- The Provena network, launching with the first professionals: the verified history passed from one professional to the next, and client searches shared between trusted colleagues
Who it is for
A watch arrives at the counter. It will pass through several hands, wait for a quote, for an answer, then go back to its owner. Studio keeps track of every step: who left it with you, what was found, decided, done and handed back. You no longer have to remember it, and neither does your team.
Workshops and service centres
From the counter to the handover, every watch under repair has its file. Whether you work alone at the bench or with several watchmakers, everyone knows where it stands and who is on it.
Buying and reselling
From purchase to sale, every piece in your stock keeps its history. And when a client is looking for a specific model, you know what you can offer.
Consignment
A consigned watch remains its owner's. Studio keeps its mandate, its listing and what is owed to the owner, up to the statement you hand them.
And for those who create watches: projects, prototypes and production have their place too.
What Studio does
Every watch's file
From reception at the counter to the handover, everything is on file: the drop-off receipt, the inspection, the diagnosis, the quote, the work, the quality check, and the return receipt the client takes home.
The history of the watch and the client
A client comes back with a watch you know? Studio finds their earlier files, the quotes they accepted or declined, what they bought from you or sold to you. Nothing to copy out, nothing to search for.
The team's work
Every morning, the Desk answers one question: what should I do today? What is waiting, who has which file, what is stuck, and where each watch is, from the safe to the return drawer.
Tracking for the client
‘Where is my watch?’ Your client has the answer in front of them: a personal link, which you send them, shows where their file stands and lets them accept the quote online.
Stock and consignments
What you buy, what you put up for sale, what is reserved and what leaves: your stock is up to date. For consignments, the mandate and the owner's statement follow the watch.
Your clients' requests
A client is looking for a specific model? Note the request on their record. When a matching watch is put up for sale, Studio points it out, with the reason for the match.
The French police register
In France, once you turn it on, Studio prepares your livre de police: every watch bought, bought back or taken on consignment gets a numbered entry, written at the very moment of the transaction.
Window labels
You choose what they show. Their code opens the watch's page for your client: its photos, its description, and whether it is still available.
Due-diligence reminders
When a sale reaches a due-diligence threshold, for anti-money-laundering or cash payment, a neutral reminder appears at the right moment. Never a block: the decision stays yours.

What the client sees, on their phone (screen in French).A watch's journey through the workshop
A repair passes through several hands, sometimes for weeks. Studio keeps the thread from one step to the next.
- Reception : The watch arrives at the counter. Its owner leaves with a drop-off receipt.
- Inspection : Before anyone touches it, its condition is noted: what works, what is already marked.
- Diagnosis : The watchmaker opens it, investigates, and notes what was found.
- Decision : The quote goes to the client, who accepts it at the counter, or online from home.
- Work : The watchmaker in charge does the work; the whole team knows who is on it.
- Quality check : One last check before handing it back.
- Return : The watch goes back to its owner, with the return receipt.
Studio and the Provena registry
Every watch that enters Studio, at reception, purchase or consignment, is checked against the theft reports of the Provena registry. If a watch has been reported, you know before you take it in.
Serial number
Provena registry
No theft report for this number in the Provena registry.
Checking a serial number at reception, in the sample workshop.Studio is the professional's working environment. A watch's public provenance is the role of Provena Registry, a separate registry: provenaregistry.com. Studio neither certifies nor authenticates any watch.
Frequently asked questions
What is Provena Studio?
Online software for watch workshops, service centres and watch dealers. Every watch repaired, bought, sold or taken on consignment keeps its file there, from reception at the counter to its handover or sale.
Is Studio a till or accounting software?
No. Studio replaces neither your till nor your bookkeeping software: it complements them. Studio follows each watch and its file; payment collection and accounting stay in your own tools. Payment tracking exists in Belgium only.
What is the Provena network?
The idea: pass a watch's verified history from one professional to the next, and share client searches between trusted colleagues. The network is not open yet: it is launching with the first professionals.
Does Studio suit a watchmaker who works alone?
Yes. Studio serves the watchmaker alone at the bench as well as a workshop of several people: everyone sees what is waiting for them, and the team knows who is on which watch.
Does Studio work in France and Belgium?
Yes. Studio works in English, French and Dutch, and follows rules specific to each country: in France, the livre de police (police register); in Belgium, the enterprise number on the workshop's documents and the texts on uncollected watches, written under the Belgian Civil Code.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Studio opens in the browser, on a computer, tablet or phone. You sign in with a link received by e-mail, with no password.
How does my client follow the repair of their watch?
You send them a personal link. They see where their file stands there and can accept the quote online, without creating an account.
Does Studio check whether a watch is stolen?
Studio checks every serial number entered at reception, purchase or consignment against the theft reports of the Provena registry. Studio neither certifies nor authenticates any watch.
What does Studio cost, and how do I get access?
Studio opens on request, workshop by workshop. Write to contact@provena.studio: the Provena team reads every request and answers by e-mail with the terms of access.
